There are moments in life when staying fully present feels like more than we can manage.
Moments when the weight of illness, uncertainty, grief, or simply the ordinary exhaustion of living makes us long for elsewhere—not because we want to escape life, but because we need room to breathe inside it.
This blog series was born from that space.
My Anywhere But Here is not about denying reality or wishing life away. It’s about acknowledging that sometimes we need an inner place to rest—a pause, a refuge, a quiet “when”—where we can gather ourselves before stepping forward again.
Here, I write honestly about living with chronic illness, cancer, faith, doubt, hope, and the daily act of continuing on. Some days are reflective. Some are heavy. Some are gentle. All are real.
This space is not meant to tell you what to believe or how to feel. It’s simply an invitation—to slow down, to reflect, and to create within yourself a place where peace can exist alongside struggle.
Whether your “Anywhere But Here” is found through faith, reflection, mindfulness, imagination, or stillness, you are welcome here.
If these words offer you even a small moment of calm, recognition, or companionship, then this space has done what it was meant to do.
